Ukip leader Nigel Farage and Labour Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Vernon Coaker will debate the European Union at an event in Belfast on Tuesday evening.

Ahead of this summer referendum on EU membership the Big EU Debate NI at Ulster University, hosted by BBC journalist Mark Simpson, has been organised by the Centre for Democracy & Peace Building to explore the arguments for and against.

Mr Farage is a fierce critic of the EU and is campaigning for the UK to vote to leave on June 23rd.

Mr Coaker wants people to vote to remain in the EU.

The event takes place at the Conor Lecture Theatre from 6 to 7pm.
