Sinn Fein has called off its historic first ard fheis to be held in Northern Ireland — because of the cliffhanger election in the Republic.
The two-day event had been planned for Belfast early next month but has now been postponed, probably until after the Assembly and local government elections in May.
It is understood, however, the conference will still take place north of the border after delegates agreed to leave its long-time Dublin base.
