PM David Cameron pokes fun at Northern Ireland's ‘unhappy’ MPs
The Prime Minister David Cameron has poked fun at Northern Ireland's MPs after hearing that the province was the happiest part of the UK.
Cameron was answering a question from the DUP's Nigel Dodds, who pointed out this week’s findings.
To raucous laughter from MPs, Mr Cameron said: “I'm delighted to hear that the people of Northern Ireland are the happiest of the United Kingdom.
“I have to say to the Honourable Gentleman that their representatives in this House do not always give that impression.”
Mr Dodds told the PM to reduce fuel allowances in Northern Ireland because “one thing that overshadows that happiness is the high and escalating price of fuel”.
