Union calls on MPs to oppose Budget

Trade unionists have urged Northern Ireland MPs to vote against George Osborne's Budget at Westminster
enlargePublic service union Nipsa said the tough economic measures would damage frontline services.
Deputy general secretary Alison Millar said Northern Ireland's representatives should vote as a bloc against the Government's proposals.
She said Nipsa believed the measures will increase unemployment and hurt the most vulnerable.
And she claimed voters would not forgive politicians who backed the plan.
She added: "Here is the opportunity for our MPs to take a united stand against the range of austerity measures which will do long-term damage to our economy and our public services and which will have a disproportionate negative impact on the less well-off in our society."
