Gardai have made an arrest after a man died of head injuries

A man in his 30s has died after being found at a house with head injuries.

A second man, aged in his 20s, was arrested at the property in Willowbrook Park, Celbridge, Co Kildare after gardai were alerted last night.

Paramedics attended the incident and the man was pronounced dead at about 10.30pm.

Gardai said the body would remain at the scene for a number of hours to allow for initial forensic examinations involving the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis and Garda technical officers.

The arrested man was taken in for questioning at Leixlip Garda Station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
