Bill Clinton back in Dublin for first visit in two years
Bill Clinton is expected to be back in Ireland next week as the special guest at a leading charity event.
The former US President, inset, is lined up as the speaker at an event being held by Philanthropy Ireland in Dublin. Mr Clinton is due to deliver a memorial lecture on philanthropy at the fundraising event.
The details of the event are yet to be finalised and it is expected to take place on Wednesday or Thursday.
Mr Clinton will also be in London midweek attending events. He was last in Ireland at the Worldwide Ireland Funds dinner in 2011.
Philanthropy Ireland is backed by the Government and leading businessmen like Denis O'Brien.
The organisation was set up in 1998 with the mission of increasing "the level of philanthropy in Ireland and to expand the community of engaged donors, who are regular, strategic, long-term contributors to good causes".
Mr Clinton remains a huge draw in the country, having played a key role in the peace process.
