Cannabis plants seized by gardai

Cannabis plants worth an estimated 120,000 euro have been seized by gardai in Co Carlow.

The haul was discovered in a house in the Fairways area of Carlow town overnight.

A man aged in his late 20s was arrested during the search operation shortly after 2am.

Equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis plants was also discovered at the property.

The suspect has been detained at Carlow Garda station.
