Cannabis plants seized in Dublin

Some 539 cannabis plants with a potential street value of more than 200,000 euro have been seized by gardai during a raid on a house.

All four bedrooms of the property at Grangewood, Rathfarnham, south Co Dublin were being used to cultivate the plants.

Gardai said the house was empty at the time of the search and no arrests have been made.

A technical examination of the house was carried out.

Some 254 plants with a street value of 114,000 euro were seized in a separate search at a house at Liffey Walk, Liffey Valley Park, Lucan.

The house was sealed off for a technical examination. No arrests have been made.
