Donegal press conference ban for journalist

Published 24/09/2012

Donegal manager Jim McGuinness demanded that the author of a controversial book leave the room before he would answer print journalists' questions at the post-match press conference.

Instead of basking in the glory of All-Ireland success, he broke his silence on the controversial book 'This is Our Year', by journalist Declan Bogue in collaboration with former Donegal star player Kevin Cassidy.

The book led to Mr Cassidy's removal from the squad last November.

After Mr Bogue had left, Mr McGuinness told remaining journalists that there were "a lot of untruths in the book".
