Family escape gun attack on home

A couple and their four children escaped unharmed after gunshots were fired at their home.

Gardai said several shots struck the front door of the house in Glenties Drive in the Finglas area of north Dublin at about 10pm last night.

A man and woman were inside with their four children when the attack took place.

No-one was injured.

Gardai appealed for information about a high-powered motorcycle which was seen in the area at the time of the attack and may have been used in a getaway.

A forensic examination is to take place at the house.
