Five injured in seven car collision on M50 Dublin motorway
Three adults and two children have been injured in a seven vehicle collision on the M50 Dublin motorway.
The incident occurred near Junction 4 Southbound at around 7.07pm and involved five cars and two trucks.
Three ambulances, three fire engines, an ET and a District Officer arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported.
All of the injured have been brought to hospital. The adults were transferred to the Mater Hospital, Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown and Beaumont Hospital.
Both children have been admitted to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.
Shortly after that accident, a two-car collision occurred at Junction 4 Northbound on the opposite side of the road. There were no injuries reported.
Dublin Fire Brigade report that both lanes are open, and traffic is beginning to move in both directions.
