Four arrested after drugs seized in raids
Three men and a woman have been arrested after the seizure of drugs valued at more than half a million euro in a wave of raids.
Heroin, ecstasy and cannabis were recovered during one of the planned searches in Bellewstown, Co Meath.
The haul has an estimated street value of 500,000 euro.
Some 70,000 euro in cash, mixing agents and other drugs paraphernalia were also found on Wednesday.
Two men, aged 33 and 26, have been arrested in connection with the investigation.
They are being held at Kells Garda station under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.
Separately, raids were launched on Thursday morning at four premises in Dublin as part of an operation targeting organised criminals in the south inner city.
Heroin with an estimated street value of 3,000 euro was seized, along with what detectives said is a substantial sum of money.
Stolen property was also recovered including jewellery to the value of 30,000 euro, a 15,000 euro watch and an Audi A3 car.
Documents were recovered "which will be forensically examined", a Garda spokesman said.
A man and a woman - both aged in their twenties - were arrested over the find.
The pair are being quizzed at Kevin Street Garda station under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.
