Four held over gun and drug seizure

Four people have been arrested after gardai seized guns and a haul of drugs in Dublin.

During searches of two flats in the South Circular Road/Rialto area officers found a 9mm handgun along with ammunition and a sawn-off shotgun and ammunition.

A quantity of cannabis and heroin with an estimated street value of 15,000 euro was also discovered.

The three men, aged in their mid 30s, and a 29-year-old woman were arrested at the scenes of yesterday's searches and remained in Garda custody today.
