A human skeleton has been discovered near Rathfarnham, Dublin.

The body was found at Kilakee Mountain by a walker last night.

Garda said the scene is preserved for a technical examination and the deputy state pathologist is expected to attend the scene later today.

The services of a forensic anthropologist have also been requested.
