Kenny to lead last European Council

Taoiseach Enda Kenny is visiting Brussells for the final European Council meeting of the Irish Presidency

The final European Council meeting of the Irish Presidency is due to take place on Thursday.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny will travel to the Brussels for the two day event, which will focus on youth employment and financing of the economy.

A Government spokesman said other issues that will be addressed include the conclusion of the European Semester for 2013 and strengthening Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), including banking union.

Growth, jobs and EU enlargement will also be discussed.
