Law firm quits work for Sean Quinn
A law firm has secured court permission in the Republic to cease representing jailed and bankrupt businessman Sean Quinn snr.
The case is over efforts to prevent the stripping of up to €430m (£348m) in assets from the Quinn family's International Property Group (IPG).
In Dublin’s Commercial Court, Mr Justice Peter Kelly was given a letter written by Mr Quinn from Mountjoy Prison.
In it, he confirmed he was consenting to Kevin R Winters & Company Solicitors, Queen Street, Belfast, being permitted to cease representing him. He thanked the law firm and his counsel for their “excellent professional service”.
