Man (45) critically injured in a frenzied stabbing attack in Dublin city centre

A 45-year-old Dublin man has been critically injured in a frenzied stabbing attack in the city centre.
The victim was attacked in the North Strand area at 10.45pm last night.
He received multiple injuries to the abdomen, chest and back in the stabbing.
An advanced paramedic unit, an ambulance and a fire brigade rushed to the man's aid and he went into cardiac arrest en route to the Mater Hospital.
Gardai are investigating the incident.
