Man dies after 'fall through porch window'

A man has died after falling through a porch window at his home in Co Cork, it is understood.

Gardai said a post mortem examination was due to be carried out on a man aged in his late 30s after Tuesday morning's incident in Ballindangan, near Mitchelstown in North Cork.

It happened at around 4am and the victim suffered serious injuries to his upper body.

Paramedics who attended the scene were unable to resuscitate him and he was pronounced dead by a local doctor.

The man's body was removed to Cork University Hospital.
