Man dies after pair stabbed

One of two men stabbed during an incident in south Dublin has died.

Gardai say the pair, in their late 20s, were found with serious stab wounds on the road at Rathsallagh Park in Shankill at around 5:30am.

They were taken by ambulance to St Vincent's Hospital were one of the men was pronounced dead shortly after 8am.

The other man remains in a serious condition.

Investigating gardai have sealed off the scene for a technical examination.

They have appealed for witnesses who may have been in or around Rathsallagh Park this morning or who have any information to contact them.
