A man has been arrested after a shooting in Limerick.

The victim, 42, received gunshot injuries when a man on a bicycle approached on Hyde Road and fired yesterday afternoon. He suffered non-life threatening injuries, gardai said.

The suspect, 22, was detained and a firearm and ammunition recovered.
