A man in his 20s has been killed in a road crash in Co Meath.

The single vehicle accident happened at Cornelstown during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to Navan Hospital.

The driver and a second passenger were treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place.

Witnesses are asked to contact gardai at Ashbourne station on 01 8010600.
