Man quizzed over cannabis factory

Detectives are questioning a man after uncovering a cannabis factory.

Around 600 cannabis plants were found during a raid on the operation, at a house at Ron Na Killa, Tarelton, Co Cork, on Wednesday.

They have a street value of 480,000 euro, investigators said.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

The suspect is being held at Bandon Garda station under section two of the Drug Trafficking Act.

Detectives described the cannabis-growing operation as a sophisticated cultivation system.
