Man quizzed over double murder

Detectives investigating the murder of a woman and her young daughter have arrested a man.

The 26-year-old suspect was detained in Killorglin, Co Kerry, shortly before 6am on Thursday.

He is being questioned about the killings of 27-year-old Jolanta Lubiene and her eight-year-old daughter Enrika.

Their bodies were discovered at a house in the town on June 16.

The suspect is being held under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Killarney Garda station.
