A man in his late teens has been left in a serious condition after he was stabbed in the upper leg.

The victim was injured during a fight, which broke out between a number of men on Aungier Street near central Dublin at around 7.45pm last night.

The scuffle moved on to Cuffe Street where the man received a number of stab wounds.

He was taken to St James's Hospital.

Gardai have appealed for witnesses.
