Missing fisherman hunt: body found

A body has been found in the hunt for a missing oyster fisherman off the Co Clare coast.

The remains were recovered close to where he was reported missing, Valentia coastguard said.

Four people working on oyster beds at Poulnasherry Bay were using tractors and trailers when they were cut off from the shore as the tide came in earlier this morning, the coastguard said. A local boat rescued three people.

A helicopter, lifeboat and coastguards were involved in the operation.

Gardai confirmed a body had been found.
