Publishing firm to create 100 jobs

One hundred jobs are to be created at a publishing company's multilingual contact centre.

Agora Publishing, which has offices in more than a dozen countries, is expanding its operations in Waterford where it has based its lifestyle publishing business International Living since 1998.

The investment will also see a technology services centre being set up and the jobs will be created over the next three years.

Daryl Berver, president of Agora's publishing services, said: "We have had a long relationship with Waterford and this investment allows us to meet the demands of our growing business and take advantage of the high quality of talent available."

Thirty-three people are employed at International Living Publishing at Elysium House in Waterford city, with the new investment to include 4.4 million euro buying and renovating a period building in Portlaw for the new operation.

The investment is supported by IDA Ireland.
