Seo Linn's The Irish Roar named as official Euro 2016 anthem
Football fans have been given a snippet of the Republic's official Euro 2016 anthem.
Seo Linn, whose Irish translation of Avicii's Wake Me Up has millions of views on YouTube, will stir passion with The Irish Roar.
A 30-second video clip of the song has been posted online and it will be performed for the first time on Friday at the Aviva Stadium.
In a post on Facebook, Seo Linn said: "We are delighted to announce that our song 'The Irish Roar' has been chosen as the Official FAIreland Song for the Euros 2016 - here is a small preview of the track, which will be debuted in full for the first time on the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show on Monday morning.
"We will be playing it live on the pitch in the Aviva Stadium on Friday the 27th of May before the big send off game versus Holland."
Seo Linn are well known for their involvement in summer school Colaiste Lurgan's famous YouTube videos, with which they have now garnered upwards of 18 million views.
The Football Association of Ireland tweeted the short clip of the official song and wrote: " Here it is! The Irish Roar by Seo Linn, our Official #EURO2016 song! #COYBIG"
Robbie Keane and his team mates will open their Euro 2016 campaign on Monday June 13 against Sweden.
Thousands of supporters are expected to throng the streets of Paris, Bordeaux and Lille where the Republic's group stage games are taking place.
