The sister of actor Jim Carrey's tragic Irish girlfriend Cathriona White has posted photos online of the siblings together at her wedding.

They show the two sisters looking happy at Lisa White's wedding on August 8 last year, one of the last times they were together.

Lisa is now finalising plans to repatriate her sibling's body from LA to their native Ireland for burial after she died by suspected suicide last week.

Lisa and her stepmother Brid travelled to the US last week to bring Cathriona home to Cappawhite, South Tipperary, for her funeral.

Cathriona's former boyfriend, Hollywood movie star Jim Carrey, is expected to attend Ms White's funeral.

She will be buried alongside her father Pat, who died in 2012 after battling cancer for more than 20 years.

Cathriona (30) was found dead in her home in LA. A cause of death has yet to be disclosed, however it's believed she died of a drugs overdose. Friends and family members have paid online tributes to the former make-up artist and actress.

Underneath the photograph of the women posted on Lisa's Facebook page, Aine Heffernan wrote: "Lisa my heart goes out to you at this very sad time."

An autopsy is expected to confirm that Cathriona died by suicide at her home in Sherman Oaks, California.

Friends of the White family paid tribute to Cathriona, described as "a quiet and gentle girl".

"Her family would be very well-known in the local community and they were very involved," councillor Mary Hanna Hourigan said.

"The whole town here is devastated by the news.

"Cathriona emigrated a number of years ago and was a beautiful girl. She was quiet and gentle but absolutely beautiful. There's nothing else to say other than our hearts go out to her family."
