One hundred jobs are to be created with the expansion of an international software company in Dublin.

SoftwareONE said the opening of its new offices at Blanchardstown will see its Irish staff increase tenfold over the next three years.

The company, headquartered in Switzerland, opened an office in Mahon, Co Cork, in 2011.

The majority of the new positions will be based at the Blanchardstown office.

The company is recruiting for technical roles including software developers and test engineers as well as positions in human resources, finance, sales and administration.

Graham Quinn, of SoftwareONE, praised state investment agency IDA Ireland for supporting the 16 million euro expansion.

"I am very much looking forward to expanding our talented team and to continuing our global growth strategy," he added.

Martin Shanahan, chief executive of IDA Ireland, said the expansion endorses Ireland's position as a thriving global tech hub.

"Businesses that locate here can source excellent talent in a business-friendly English-speaking environment with a track record for investment which is second to none," he said.

Set up in 1985, SoftwareONE employs 3,000 staff in more than 80 countries.
