Suspicious note sparks bomb fears on Aer Lingus flight: Alert at Dublin airport
An investigation has been open by Gardai after a note claiming there was a bomb on an Aer Lingus flight sparked a security alert in Dublin Airport.
It is understood the note was discovered on an Aer Lingus plane inbound from Brussels to Dublin this morning at 10:35 am.
Gardaí confirmed they were called to the airport following the discovery but said nothing "sinister" had been found.
"The incident is currently being looked at," said a spokesperson.
Dublin Airport confirmed the alert but said that there was no operational changes or delays at the airport.
Adding, that all passengers were removed from the plane when it landed.
In a separate incident, there was a partial evacuation of Terminal One this morning after a fire alarm went off.
A spokesperson for the Dublin Airport said they were investigating why the alarm had been activated.
