Taoiseach hails software jobs boost

A cloud computing and software company is to create 100 jobs, it has been revealed.

Salesforce.com, which bills itself as the world's number one provider of customer relationship management software, is to expand its operations in Dublin.

The company plans to hire qualified professionals in sales, marketing, IT and customer support.

The announcement was made in Dublin by Taoiseach Enda Kenny at the company's new state-of-the-art 50,000 square foot office complex in Leopardstown.

"Ireland's reputation as a digital island acting as a European hub for the digital industry is growing rapidly as more businesses like salesforce.com expand their operations here," Mr Kenny said.
