Tayto Park's House of Horrors reopens after staircase collapse
Bosses of a theme park have reopened a Halloween-themed event they were forced to shut a week ago when a staircase collapsed.
Tayto Park said its House of Horrors is taking in visitors six days after a section of stairs gave way injuring several people.
It said the event is sold out for both Friday and Saturday.
"Tayto Park has fulfilled all requirements as outlined by the relevant authorities," management said.
Nine people were treated in hospital after the staircase collapsed last Saturday night.
The Health and Safety Authority launched an investigation into the cause of the incident.
The park at Ashbourne, Co Meath, which is themed on the famous crisp brand Tayto, is the only one of its kind in Ireland. It opened in 2010.
