A 33-year-old man has died after being stabbed in Dublin.

The incident happened at St Josephs Park, Dunsink Lane in Finglas just after midnight. The victim died at the scene.

An 18-year-old man was arrested during the early hours of this morning and is currently detained under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Finglas Garda Station.

The victim's body remains at the scene and a post mortem examination is expected to take place later.
