Teenager quizzed over paper factory fire in Drogheda

A teenager is being questioned about a suspicious fire that destroyed a paper factory in Drogheda.

The 17-year-old male was arrested in connection with the blaze at the Dawn Paper factory on Donore Road.

Firefighters were called to the scene around 9.30pm on Saturday and tackled the fire throughout the night.

A number of units from Louth and Meath Fire Services worked to bring it under control.

There have been no reports of any casualties.

A 14-year-old boy arrested earlier in relation to the fire has been released without charge.

Gardai later arrested another male teenager in connection with the fire.
