Two injured in shooting incidents

Two men have been shot in attacks in north Dublin.

Gardai said a man in his 60s and a man in his 30s were injured in the incidents, which are thought to be connected, this morning.

The older man was shot in Glasnevin Avenue while the other man was attacked in Hillcrest Park.

One man sustained gunshot wounds to his stomach, and the other to a foot.

Gardai said both men have been taken to the Mater and Beaumont hospitals in the north of the city.

Gardai said a shotgun was located close to the scene of the attacks.

The shootings took place at about 8.15am.

The area around the attacks has been sealed off by detectives and officers have appealed for witnesses.
