UK team to recover Galway cave diver's body
A UK team of expert cave divers will today attempt to recover the body of a Polish man from one of the country's deepest underwater caves.
The three-man team from the UK were last night travelling to Co Galway for a briefing this morning on the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of Artur Kozlowski (33), which was found by colleagues on Tuesday evening.
The alarm was raised by fellow divers late on Monday when he failed to surface from the cave at Pollonora in Kiltartan.
A series of recovery dives to locate the body were eventually successful but were unable to bring it to the surface.
Mr Kozlowski held a number of diving records, including the record for the longest and deepest cave dive in Britain and Ireland.
