A woman (44) who ingested €120,000 worth of cocaine has been arrested at Dublin Airport.

The woman from Guyana was stopped by officers and found to have ingested 100 pellets of cocaine.

The pellets were seized by Revenue and the woman, who was arrested by Gardaí, was detained at Ballymun Garda Station.

The seizure happened last Tuesday and officers say it totalled 1.7kg of the drug with an estimated street value of €120,000.

Investigations are continuing.
