Talks ongoing in effort to avert British Airways strike

Management and unions at British Airways are involved in further talks this morning in the hope of averting strike action planned for next.

Cabin crew attached to the Transport and General Workers Union are planning a two-day stoppage on Tuesday and Wednesday due to a dispute over sick pay and other issues.

Thousands of passengers, including many from Ulster, will be affected if the action goes ahead.

Both sides say they want to avoid a strike, but they are blaming each other for the ongoing each impasse.
