Two quizzed over murder of Constable Stephen Carroll
Police have arrested two more men in connection with the murder of a PSNI officer in Co Armagh last year.
Constable Stephen Carroll (48) was ambushed by the Continuity IRA as he responded to a 999 call in the Lismore Manor area of Craigavon on March 9, 2009.
The pair, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested yesterday morning and taken to the PSNI’s serious crime suite in Antrim for questioning.
Const Carroll's murder was the first of a police officer in Northern Ireland since 1998. These latest arrests bring to 14 the number of people quizzed about the CIRA shooting.
