1D star's cousin goes on The Voice
A cousin of One Direction star Liam Payne is hoping for singing success of his own as he features among contestants in BBC1's The Voice.
Ross Harris, a drummer who has toured with Union J and The Saturdays, will be seen trying out in this weekend's edition of the show.
The 23-year-old from the West Midlands will be seen playing percussion as well as displaying his vocal talent as he performs Usher's Good Kisser at the blind audition stage of the contest.
Harris said: "It's a little bit of a risk putting my voice out there.
"I often think what it would be like to be them at the front rather than me at the back."
Also taking part in the show - to be screened on Saturday at 7pm - is Tim Arnold, boyfriend of EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace and son of Polly Perkins, who played the show's Rose Cotton.
The 39-year-old had a major record deal during the Britpop era in the mid-1990s, but was dropped before finding success. He now performs as the Soho Hobo.
He said: "I don't make music for just one person to hear, I want lots of people to hear."
