Two people made off with an estimated £80,000 worth of watches during a smash-and-grab raid at a Watches of Switzerland store in central London.

Police were called to the scene in Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, shortly before 9.30am on Friday after two suspects pulled up outside on a motorcycle and smashed through the front door and into a display cabinet.

They stole a number of watches before fleeing the scene towards Kensington.

There were no reports of any injuries and no arrests have been made.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Flying Squad are investigating and would like to hear from any members of public who filmed or photographed the robbery.
