£87m goes into bank account of EuroMillions jackpot winner
It is the seventh-biggest jackpot ever claimed in the UK.
A lottery player is settling into life £87 million richer after Camelot said it had validated and paid out Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot.
The single ticket-holder, who has chosen to remain anonymous, took home £87,570,000, the seventh biggest jackpot win in the UK, Camelot said.
The prize was paid out once Camelot had validated the winning ticket after the holder came forward on Monday.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Camelot, said: “It’s great that the ticket-holder can now start this amazing prize.
“We look forward to supporting the seventh biggest lottery winner in the UK as they celebrate their life changing win.
“By buying a ticket for this or any other National Lottery game, every player is helping to raise money for good causes.
“On average, over £30 million is raised every week for projects across the UK, both big and small, from repairing Scout huts to making Olympic and Paralympic champions.”
