Aliens told abuse charge woman not to let social workers into rat-infested house
Aliens told a pensioner not to let social workers in to her rat-infested house, according to the 65-year-old woman charged with child cruelty.
Edelina Shaw, who said she has been in touch with extra-terrestrials for years, blamed the aliens for refusing to let social workers in on four occasions to check on the child who was found unwashed and suffering from bad tooth decay.
When social workers finally summoned the help of police they had to break in and found the house was filthy and the child scared of the bath and water.
Former nurse Shaw, her 71-year-old husband Edward (71) of Leytonstone, east London and daughter Tamia Lal (30) of nearby East Ham all denied cruelty charges during their trial which is continuing.
