A 19-year-old woman has been attacked and robbed by two men.

The woman was talking on her mobile phone while walking along Bonnington Road in the north of Edinburgh at 8pm on Thursday when she was approached, police said.

The two men ran off towards Pilrig Park with her bag.

They are both white, in their early 20s and shorter than 6ft. One was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, dark top and grey jogging bottoms, while the other suspect has short hair and was wearing a dark coloured top.

Detective Constable Joe Perkins, said: "While the victim was uninjured, she was still left shaken by this robbery. We are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or recognises the description of the suspects, to contact police."

Anyone with information has been asked to contact the police by calling 101 or Crimestoppers.
