Aristocrat accused of raping girl
An aristocrat raped a teenager who was unconscious after he got her drunk on vodka, a court heard.
The Honourable James Murray (41) was said to have earned the alleged victim's trust by welcoming her into his flat to drink and play on his computer.
A jury at Oxford Crown Court, where the Old Etonian is on trial for rape, heard evidence from a friend of the 16-year-old girl he is accused of attacking.
She said she heard a telephone conversation in which Murray said he thought he would go to "court or prison" if his victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, went to the police.
Asked by Tim Clark, prosecuting, what she remembered from the morning after the alleged sex attack in June 2010, she said she was with her friend.
The friend told the court: "Jamie (Murray) said to her: 'Do you remember what happened last night?"'
She added: "She told me Jamie said: 'I had sex with you'."
The trial continues.
