Astronaut Tim Peake gives £250k space book profits to charity
British astronaut Tim Peake has donated all £250,000 of his proceeds from a best-selling collection of space photographs to charity.
The 44-year-old chronicled his historic six-month mission to the International Space Station (ISS) through a camera lens, publishing the shots in a book called Hello, Is This Planet Earth?
He gave his author's proceeds from the release, which featured more than 150 mesmerising images, to The Prince's Trust, the children's charity said. Major Peake said: "It is my honour to support The Prince's Trust. The work it does, helping disadvantaged young people move into education, work or training, is something I believe is vital."
