Bloom and Kerr confirm separation
Actor Orlando Bloom and his wife Miranda Kerr have confirmed they have separated.
Pirates Of The Caribbean star Bloom and the Australian model have been married for three years, and have a son together.
They split "amicably" several months ago but have only now chosen to announce their relationship is at an end to E! News.
Bloom rose to fame the Lord Of The Rings films, playing Legolas, and had a recurring role as Will Turner in the Pirates films. There had been speculation that the marriage had hit a difficult patch as they had been spending less time together.
A spokesman issued a joint statement on the couple's behalf which said they "have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months".
It went on: "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalise their separation.
"Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
Bloom, 36, starting dating Kerr, 30, in 2007. Their son Flynn was born in January 2011.
