Body find sparks murder inquiry

A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body, police have said.

The 54-year-old man was found dead in a property at Gilbert Circle in Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, on Friday.

Initially the death was being treated as unexplained, but Police Scotland have since stated that it is now a murder inquiry.
