Chance to complete census online
Census organisers are encouraging those who have not yet completed their household surveys to enter their details online to avoid a home visit from door-to-door census collectors.
From Wednesday, 30,000 census collectors will visit households who have not completed the census by the deadline of Monday evening.
Completing the census is required by law, with fines of up to £1,000.
The Office for National Statistics, which is organising the population survey, said 13 million forms, amounting to more than half the households in England and Wales, had so far been returned.
