The estranged wife of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White has been cleared of assault after son Marco Jnr was "too hungover" to give evidence against her.

Matilde White, who is separated from their father, was accused of attacking her adult sons Luciano and Marco Jnr.

She allegedly "burst her way" into Marco Jnr's flat and told him: "You're a f****** loser junkie - you're going to prison."

White apparently then kicked Marco Jnr in the groin repeatedly before biting Luciano.

The trial collapsed after both Luciano and Marco Jnr failed to attend Uxbridge Magistrates Court yesterday, where they were due to give evidence.

Marco Jnr, who recently appeared on Big Brother, told police he was "too hungover" to attend after apparently going out partying. Police were unable to make contact with Luciano.

District Judge Deborah Wright dismissed the case after no evidence was offered. White (51), of Chiswick High Road, London, was cleared of two counts of common assault by beating.
